Anyway – heres the latest podcast for Sunny days in Sydney! Lots of proggy goodness on this as well as a couple of old & new deadmau5 tunes!

Pretty annoyed that I recorded all of this and then noticed that I had the left fader knocked slightly which meant the left channel was recording at about 60% the volume of the right… Luckily it seems that I’ve been able to split the stereo & boost the left channel using a neat bit of software called Audacity.

Other major improvement has been the purchase of a printer which lets me print directly onto the CDR! Gone are the days of scribbling on CD’s with a marker pen and forgetting exactly what I burnt onto them a couple of weeks later

Hopefully the next mix will be done on a CDJ1000′s and a decent mixer as I had to hand back a borrowed DJM600 before leaving for Sydney which meant I had to resort to a very tired and crappy behringer VX300 for this.

I’ve been busy the last few months with new job and holidays so mixing is a little bit rusty on the first few tunes…. (especially transition from track 2 to track 3) – I might re-record it sometime later this week if I get a chance…. if not then the standard will get better over the rest of the year (I hope…)
Next podcast is going to be focused on some of the funky house classics from the past few years or possibly a trance set (glowsticks at the ready). For those who also DJ and source their music from mp3s there is a new podcast available from beatport which seems like a good way to keep up to date with latest releases. It would be great to see djdownload offer a similar kind of thing!
